1. Our Commitment

At Redacting.ai, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. We offer a first free completed document and the refund terms below. This policy explains how our refund process works.

2. 7-Day Free Trial

Eligible customers may start a card-backed 7-day Pro trial that includes:

• 50 pages across PDF documents
• Pro file-size and per-document limits
• Detection review, selected redaction, and PDF export

The Pro subscription begins when the trial ends unless you cancel it first.

3. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you subscribe to a paid plan for the first time and are not satisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription. This guarantee applies to:

• First-time subscribers to any paid plan
• Monthly subscription plans
• Requests made within 14 days of the initial payment

The 14-day period begins on the date of your first payment, not the date you started your free trial.

4. Refund Eligibility

Eligible for Refund

• First subscription payment within 14 days (no questions asked)
• Duplicate or erroneous charges
• Accidental subscription renewal within 48 hours (case-by-case)

Not Eligible for Refund

• Requests made after the 14-day guarantee period
• Subsequent renewal payments (beyond the first subscription)
• Partial month refunds for early cancellation
• Violations of our Terms of Service
• Fraud, abuse, or excessive refund requests

We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or policy violations.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, simply email us at [email protected] with:

• Your account email address
• The word "Refund" in the subject line
• Brief explanation (optional - no questions asked within 14 days)

6. Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. When you cancel:

• You retain access until the end of your current billing period
• No future payments will be charged
• Your account will remain without an active paid subscription
• Previously processed documents remain available until deletion

Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund. If you wish to request a refund, please contact us separately.

7. Payment Processing

All payments and refunds are processed through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles:

• Payment processing and security
• Refund disbursement
• Tax compliance and invoicing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Paddle's refund policies also apply: paddle.com/legal/terms

Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in immediate account suspension, and refund decisions may be subject to Paddle's final determination.

8. Subscription Refunds

Refunds after the 14-day period are reviewed under this policy, Paddle's terms, and applicable law. You can cancel a subscription to prevent its next renewal.

• Extended trial periods
• Prorated refunds for extended outages (case-by-case)
